306.00 Php - bus to Dau terminal from the Victory Liner terminal in Baguio
1700.00 Php - lodging at Dauz Pensionhouse for 4 pax. The room has a double sized bed then they gave us an extra mattress. It has a private toilet with heater and a fan which you don't really need because it's quite cold. It also has a tv mounted on the wall. Unfortunately though the elevator was not working that time so we had to climb up to the 3rd floor where our room is located (room 27)
100 Php (30 minutes) - big boat at Burnham Park which is able to accomodate all 4 of us. If you need someone to row for you there will be an additional charge of 50.00 Php.
50.00 Php - bike with sidecar 1 hour
40.00 Php - single bike
53.00 Php - taxi from Burnham to Pensionhouse
11.00 Php - jeepney fare to Strawberry Farm via Buyagan jeepney (jeepney found near City Hall which is some walks away from the Baguio City Market)
8.50 Php - Trancoville jeepney from Baguio to Pensionhouse (stop at Barrio Fiesta)
350.00 Php - 1kg strawberry for strawberry picking
50.00 Php - 3 freshly picked lettuce
Last January, we have been hearing that Baguio is at its coldest and residents themselves who are used to Baguio's temperature have acknowledged that it's unusually cold so wanting to experience this coldness we planned going to Baguio this February. Unfortunately, it was no longer as cold as it was in January when we got there last February 15.
We were at the Dau terminal at around 11 PM however since it's already a while but we still can't see a Baguio bus we ended up taking a Dagupan Bus instead and then from the Victory Liner terminal in Dagupan we took a Baguio bound bus. Arriving at Victory Liner Dagupan though we still have to wait for more than an hour as their Baguio buses arrive at 3:30 am. We arrived in Baguio at around 6:00 am.
Where our bus dropped us off
We bought a strawberry taho but we were disappointed because the taste was not what we had expected. It's just like ordinary taho mixed with strawberry jam.
(The next paragraph is about our complaints about our lodging. Please skip to the next paragraph if you don't want to read about it)
To cut the long story short we ended up at Dauz Pensionhouse because we accepted the "help" of two men who offered to find us a lodging (which we accepted because we were worried that we would not find lodging because it was the day after Valentine's Day). I believe they would get a certain amount when they get to bring people there which means we'll also get the accomodation for a higher price. we could have let this go however checking in took longer than we're used to and they told us they'll be cleaning the room but they didn't. We waited but no one arrived.i ended up going downstairs to request for towels and blankets because they also haven't provided us any. Then I was told they'll just clean the room but when we went back after sightseeing outside it was still the same as we left it. Aside from this, the mattress that they provided is too big for the floor and we don't have bedsheets.
At around 8:00 am, we went out to sightsee. We asked around on how to get to Burnham Park.
I think we turned at Prime Hotel then got to the photo above and once again asked people for directions. Another way of getting to Burnham Park is by walking straight ahead from the Mines View Park jeepneys bedside Mc Donalds in Session Road (near DBP). If you ride this jeepney you'll see the gate of Burnham Park in a few minutes.
We took our breakfast at Kamayan sa Ganza located near Burnham Park. I'm not sure if it's just me but i find their fried rice "hard" and oily. I would advise eating at "Restaurant 456" instead which is located at session road near Mc Donalds.
Burnham Park
There are lots of activities that you can do at Burnham like biking, boating and sight seeing . The trees and flowers surrounding the place are relaxing to the senses.

After Burnham we went back to our lodging to charge our phone and rode a taxi. As of Feb 2014 the taxis have a flagdown rate of 35 in Baguio.
Then we went to SM Baguio where my sister met wth her friend who is studying in Baguio.

At 3:30 PM we proceeded to the Strawberry Farm where we picked some strawberries. It will cost 350.00 Php for picking a kilo of strawberries. You can also buy lettuce from them at 50.00 Php for 3 pieces.

We took our dinner at Point and Grill along Session Road then we went to Harrison to see the night market.
The next day we visited the Our Lady of Atonement Cathedral, Mines View Park and Wright Park. It was quite cold in the morning that you'll really be tempted to linger in bed. Good thing my sister insisted that we wake up and start preparing.

We took our breakfast at Restaurant 456.

Igorot costume picture taking at Mines View Park and Wright Park will cost you 20.00 Php. You can already take unlimited photos of yourself wearing the costume. Funnily though, at Burnham the same will cost you 10.00 Php for a single photo and a whopping 200.00 Php for unlimited photos.

We left Wright Park at past 11:00 am as we need to check out at 12:00 pm. We took a taxi to the Victory Liner terminal. Unfortunately, we missed the bus that left at 12:45 pm and ended up boarding the one that left at 1:45 pm.
